How to wear an 8 year old boy out, perhaps.

The last couple of days has seen a bit of rain falling on the Sunshine Coast, great for the plants and lawns. Sunday saw a break in the rain so we packed the backpack with some hot cross buns, a thermos of hot chocolate and set off for Mount Coolum.

I mistakenly thought that with this bit of rain, we would be the only ones climbing Mount Coolum, how wrong could I be. It seems that parents had the same idea as myself and were trying to wear the kids out with a trek up Mount Coolum.

We managed to get to the top without getting wet and enjoyed the view with our hot chocolate and hot cross buns. We had a bit of an explore around the top of the mountain and Hunter managed to find the only mud puddle on top of Mount Coolum. There is something very therapeutic when you jump in a good mud puddle. Even on a rainy day there is always something to keep everyone entertained.

Next adventure is probably going to be out to the Aqua Fun park.
