Saturday Fun At Underwater World Sea Life

I am not sure how the weather was on the rest of the eastern seaboard last Saturday, but for those on the Sunshine Coast it went from sunshine, to rain and then back to sunshine.

We decided to pack up the kids and rediscover Underwater World Sea Life at Mooloolaba. We have not been down to visit, since the renovations in December 2013 and we are kicking ourselves that we took this long to revisit this iconic attraction.

There were all the old favourites with the clown fish, the seal show and of course that huge set of shark fangs.

The new surrounds as you walk between the different exhibits are great. The Shark Shipwreck had Hunter amazed and his expression when the sting rays glided over him was excellent.

The new Jellyfish Kingdom was like a something out of a Hollywood movie. We were surrounded by these surreal creatures just floating like they were in outer space. Someone has given this display a bit of thought and added coloured down lights which made the jellyfish even more mysterious. I just wish my photographic skills were up to capturing their beauty but I am sure you get the general idea with this image.

Before we knew it, we had lost three hours as we rediscovered and marvelled at this fantastic attraction right here on the Sunshine Coast.

I wonder what we will rediscover next weekend?
